Pool sessions.
Anybody can come to a ROCK pool session and make use the equipment and coaching that is on
offer.
Membership Cost (Per year) £12.00
There are many advantages to becoming a full member of ROCK. These include:
Becoming a member of ROCK.
Coaching and assessment towards BCU awards.
BCU star awards are available to those over 16 years old. Rock membership ensures coaching up
to 3 Star and assessment up to 2 Star. Whilst the club is able to administer the BCU Paddlepower
awards, ROCK has devised it's own junior progress awards: ROCK STARS.
Discounted BCU Courses.
Because of the clubs close links with professional coaches, club members will be offered places on
some courses at a considerably discounted rate. Look at CoacH2o
Organised trips and events
Throughout the year, ROCK intends to organise a variety of trips and events that will meet the needs of its
members, so if you're an adrenaline junkie, or one who likes the quieter side of life, as a ROCK member, you
will be able to sign up and use club equipment whilst being led by qualified coaches or suitably experienced
trip leaders. Look at CLUB Forum, read the TRIP REPORTS and look at the GALLERY.
Use of equipment
Once Rock members have met various performance requirements, they will be able to make use of club
equipment when it is not required for other ROCK activities.
Discounted Equipment.
Several retailers and manufacturers have already pledged to give at least 10% discount on canoe and kayak kit
to ROCK members. Look for them on the LINKS page
