BCU UKCC Level 1 Coach Training
Who can become a coach?
The new BCU / UKCC Level 1 Coach
awards can take a newcomer to
canoeing and over a period of 4 days
help them to develop into an effective
coach.
Coaches may choose to be boat
based, but can operate from the
bank side if they so choose. Level 1
coaches deliver sessions both for
Kayak and Canoe.
James was already a paddler before
his coach training, but Ben had only
limited boating skill. They are both
now great examples of UKCC Level
1 coaches.
