What is CoacH2O?  

CoacH2O is not a company, but a service.  With so many providers offering competitive
deals on paddling courses, it can be really difficult to identify who can best meet your
coaching needs.

CoacH2O is resource, it is where you can  find a self employed BCU Level 5 Coaches

Coaching and assessment can be provide in;  Sea, Surf, Traditional Open Canoe Canoe
and Inland Kayak.  ANY BCU Canoe or Kayak course can be arranged
.

CoacH2o Coaches are spread around the UK. Nigel Wilford and Terry Hailwood are in
England, Dave Rossetter and Claire Knifton in Scotland and Dave Luke is in Wales.

ANY British Canoe Union course can be provided as well as tailor made a courses to suit
your club or individual requirements.

Nigel Wilford, or Wilf as he is known to many has been paddling for nearly 20
years.  During this time he has been on expedition to Canada, paddled in the
USA, New Zealand and in the Alps.  He has worked for the BCU as the
English Coordinator for White Water Safety Courses and a member of the
Quality Assurance Team. When he is not coaching, Wilf works at a secondary
School as a Teacher of Design.  Like the rest of the CoacH
2O team, he is a
BCU Level 5 Coach.

Terry Hailwood has over twenty years paddling experience and has led
paddling throughout  France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Expeditions
in America, Turkey, and both the Indian and Nepalese Himalaya.

The only match for Terry’s passion for paddle sport is his enjoyment of
coaching.  Over the years Terry has messed about in most forms of paddle
sport including competing in Slalom, Polo, Whitewater Racing and Rodeo. He
holds coaching qualifications in Kayak, Canoe, Sea, Surf and Racing Comp.

Claire Knifton has worked full time in outdoor education for the last 20 years
and been a paddler for longer than that !   She is a Level 5 Coach in both
Canoe & Sea and is particularly passionate about  journeying & adventure.

In recent years Clair's paddling has taken her to Canada, East & West
coasts of the US, Norway and France as well as a couple of trips out to St
Kilda.    Claire also contributed to the BCU handbook is a member of the
Quality  Assurance team for the SCA.

Dave Luke is well known to many people, as he does just about everything.  
Sea, Surf, Kayak, OC1 and Traditional Open Canoeing.  Most of the time Dave
works in and around Wales but occasionally has been sighted in more exotic
locations such as Yorkshire and even France!  Amongst other things, Dave
delivers SRT courses and is a member of BCU Level 5 Coach assessment
team

Dave Rossetter is a Director of the BCU (Coaching) and Level 5
Coach.  Along with his family he owns
Stirling and Nevis Canoes
and runs
Standing Waves, his coaching company. Dave coaches all
aspects of canoesport and has been called upon by Hollywood to
make use of his whitewater knowledge on more than one occasion.
Although Dave is based in Scotland, he has been know to get about
